Monday, 11:30pm - bong hits @ darek's house
Tuesday, 12:05am - darek and i drive to princeton, wva to pick up two friends who are also going (all of us in the back of an early 90's model eclipse).
Tuesday, 7:00am - we arrive at the main gates of the alltell pavilion in raleigh, nc. we wait in the parking lot until 8, and wait in line at the main gates until 9:20 (after passing thru security).
Tuesday, 9:15am - Bands begin on second stage, i am approx. 3 people back in front of the right side of the stage. bands play 30 minute sets with approx. 10 mins in between acts. i am in the same place for 11/13 bands. band list, in somewhat cronological order:

Tuesday, 2:30pm - after lamb of god leaves the stage (they played god forbid's equipment due to their being late), i left the second stage area and ate a sandwich. came back halfway through hatebreed's set, but was farther back for both them and slipknot.
Tuesday, 3:45pm - black label society begins on the main stage. i sit this one out.
Tuesday, 4:30pm - superjoint ritual on main stage. yours truly has a pit pass. after sjr, dimmu borgir followed by slayer. i was about 3 people back from the stage at all times until judas priest, in which time i left and got a drink. this was around 8pm. ozzy comes on with the other 3 original members of sabbath and performs amazingly well. my prediction: when he dies, it will be in front of a crowd.
Tuesday, 11:30pm - sore is an understatement. i've been drenched in water since 10am. we finally leave the parking area.
Wednesday, 12:30am - we stop about 5 miles outside winston-salem on rt. 40 west in the parking lot of a hotel for an hour of sleep.
Wednesday, 5:00am - we wake up ready to head back to princeton, eventually back to radford.
Wednesday, 9:15am - after a total of about 6 1/2 hours sleep in the past 46 hours, i'm now back in radford.
Wednesday, 11:00am - cinema class. am i going? i doubt it.
